It’s a significant opportunity for both teams, as the Chargers are barely two-years-old as a PVL team. Farm Fresh is even younger.
Through aggressive team building and finding a quality import, Akari and Farm Fresh both make their PVL playoff debut, although it’s the Chargers that appear to be set up for most success.
Akari has dominated the prelims, finishing with the no. 1 seed with an immaculate 8-0 record behind the powerful play of Oly Okaro.

The local support is equally as impressive, with the Chargers boasting a talent line that includes Grethcel Soltones, Ced Domingo, and Ivy Lacsina.
There’s also recent history to favor Akari outside of the team being no. 1 as the Chargers just beat the Foxies earlier this week to seal their perfect record.
However, the Foxies are a feisty bunch. Yeny Murillo is more than capable as a reinforcement that can help neutralize Okaro’s impact from the other side.
A key for Farm Fresh lies with Louie Romero though. The former Adamson star has come alive as one of the best PVL setters, and a big game from her can certainly help the Foxies take advantage of the playoffs’ knockout nature to spring an upset.
