Chery Tiggo captain Aby Maraño may have led the Crossovers to victory against the High Speed Hitters, but she still takes pride in seeing former teammates Majoy Baron and Kim Fajardo thrive in PLDT.
When Chery Tiggo completed a straight-set victory over PLDT on Tuesday night, Crossovers captain Aby Maraño’s joy was twofold.
Not only had the Crossovers bolstered their semis bid in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference, Maraño was also filled with pride seeing Majoy Baron and Kim Fajardo thriving with the High Speed Hitters.

“Sobrang proud kasi nakita ko na happy naman sila sa bago nilang team,” said Maraño.
Once united under the banner of the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers, their paths diverged when the club ceased operations, forcing the players to scatter in search of new opportunities.
Maraño, along with Ara Galang, brought their veteran expertise to Chery Tiggo, while Baron, Fajardo, and Kim Kianna Dy joined the ranks of PLDT.
Despite having taken different paths, their friendship remains intact.
So, it should come as no surprise that Maraño takes pride in seeing her good friends earning the trust of their new team.
“Nagagamit talaga sila. Siyempre bilang teammate nila before, ang sarap makita na isa sila sa starting six. Ibig sabihin there is something with them na makaka-help doon sa team na bago nilang nilalaruan ngayon. Kaya happy ako na itong dalawang ‘to nakababad sila,” the former F2 Logistics captain said.
She then continued, “During our time, with our former team, mina-manage talaga ‘yung dalawa. Hindi masyadong ginagamit. Pero this time around happy ako for them kasi malaki rin ‘yung tiwala ng new team nila.”
As Chery Tiggo and PLDT continue to jostle for crucial positioning in the heated semis race, Maraño may soon find herself in fierce competition with Baron and Fajardo.
However, regardless of how intense their battles may become in the future, their friendship will remain unwavering.
