Ivy Lacsina and the Nxled Chameleons got back on the winning track, knocking the Strong Group Athletics (SGA) out of Final Four contention on Thursday night.

Coming off a two-game slide, the Chameleons picked up their second win at the expense of the hapless SGA, 25-16, 25-16, 25-15, in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena.

With the straight-set victory, Nxled improves with a 2-5 record, forcing a four-way logjam at seventh place with the Akari Chargers, the Farm Fresh Foxies, and the Galeries Tower Highrisers. The Chameleons still have a flickering chance to reach the semifinals, but they would have to remain flawless in their next matches while praying for other teams to fall via sweep.

Lacsina poured in 16 points, all but one coming from attacks.

Jho Maraguinot also continued her steady performance with 12 markers and eight receptions, while Cam Victoria and Lycha Ebon contributed 10 and nine points, respectively.

Kam Cal fanned out 14 excellent sets for the Chameleons, who outperformed SGA on all fronts.

Nxled put up a 46-25 spiking differential, 6-1 block disparity, and a 3-1 gap in service aces.

SGA still could not breakthrough after seven matches, trudging along the cellar.

Dolly Verzosa emerged as the lone bright spot for SGA with 12 points, six receptions, and four digs that went for naught.

Nxled seeks to carry over momentum when it takes on Farm Fresh.

SGA, on the other hand, tries to break out of the slump when it faces PLDT on April 9, Tuesday.

Both matches will be held at the same Pasig venue.
