Creamline ran roughshod over league neophyte Capital1, 25-18, 25-14, 25-15, to quickly bounce back in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Thursday, March 21.

Reeling from a streak-busting loss to Chery Tiggo less than a week ago, the Cool Smashers dumped their frustrations on the Solar Spikers as they leaned on their deep arsenal once more to regain their spot atop the standings with a 5-1 record (15 points).

Capital1, on the other hand, continued to trudge near the cellar with a 1-5 card.

Creamline took a while to crank up its engine, allowing Capital1 to show resistance in the first two sets.

However, the Solar Spikers let open the floodgates in the decisive third as the Cool Smashers cruised to a 16-4 separation, a lead that proved insurmountable.

Tots Carlos spearheaded the thrust with 14 points, all but two coming from attacks.

Bernadeth Pons pitched in seven markers as eight others tallied at least a point for Creamline in the sweep.

Cool Smashers captain Alyssa Valdez made her two-way presence felt with five points and eight digs, while Michele Gumabao collected two blocks in her five-point outing.

Jema Galanza also contributed five markers, while Risa Sato and Jeannette Panaga scored four apiece.

Jorelle Singh paced the losing side with 14 points, while Patty Orendain managed eight markers.

Creamline seeks to carry over momentum when it faces Cignal, while Capital1 tries to get back on the win column when it takes on Petro Gazz on March 26, Tuesday, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
