Kurashiki Ablaze capped off their PVL Invitational Conference in true Japanese fashion on Sunday night.

Moments after capturing the midseason title by way of a thrilling 25-23, 25-19, 20-25, 15-13 win over the Creamline Cool Smashers, the visitors helped tidy up the court at the Philsports Arena.

Creamline team manager Alan Acero posted that particular scene on his Twitter account on Monday morning.

“We couldn’t start last night’s fellowship dinner without the @KurashikiAblaze, because after the game, the 2023 PVL Invitational champs still worked together with PhilSports staff to clean up the arena. Mad respect,” Acero said in the tweet.

This came days after Creamline’s charming Japanese ace, Risa Sato, urged fellow players to wipe the sweat off the floor.

“Sana sa Philippines din, if may pawis sa floor or sweat, pupunas tayo. Mas mabilis. Para walang madulas sa training. Share ko lang,” she said in an Instagram story.

In the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Japanese spectators also went viral after picking up the trash around them at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium. That’s why this sight, no matter how amazing, is no longer surprising.

“From us Filipino volleyball fans to you: Argatou gozaimasu!” Acero said.
