Anthony Semerad and Dominick Fajardo get fresh extensions as the NLEX Road Warriors lock in key role players in the middle of the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup.
The NLEX Road Warriors secure Anthony Semerad and Dominick Fajardo to fresh deals, keeping both key forwards with the team for the long haul.
The Road Warriors on Wednesday formalized the two-year contract extension for the pair during the signing ceremony held at the NLEX Compound in Balintawak, attended by NLEX Corporation President Luis S. Reñon and team governor Ronald T. Dulatre.
Both players have been key contributors to NLEX’s strong start in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup. The Road Warriors currently hold a 6-2 record and have already secured a spot in the quarterfinals.
Now in his fifth season with the Road Warriors, Semerad is averaging 6.8 points and 6.2 rebounds across six games, providing veteran leadership and a consistent presence on both ends of the floor.
Meanwhile, Fajardo, who was drafted 30th overall by NLEX in the 2023 PBA Rookie Draft, continues to show steady development, posting 5.71 points, 4.14 rebounds, 1.57 assists, and 1.29 steals in seven outings this conference.
Both players expressed gratitude to the NLEX management and coaching staff for the continued trust and are committed to giving their best every time they suit up for the Road Warriors.
“I’m so grateful to Boss Ronald and Boss LSR. What NLEX can expect from me in these next two years is a guy who will always give it his all whenever I’m on the court,” said Semerad.
“Nakakatuwa yung tiwala na binigay sa akin ng NLEX management katulad nina Boss Ronald and Boss LSR. Nagpapasalamat din ako kay Coach Jong na nilagay nila ako sa sitwasyon na ito. Ipapakita ko lang lagi sa court kung bakit deserve ko tong contract extension,” added Fajardo.
NLEX will next face Magnolia on Sunday at the Ynares Center in Montalban as the team continues its push forward this season.
