Back on top anew is San Miguel superstar June Mar Fajardo, who leads the PBA Philippine Cup Best Player of the Conference race. He led the statistical race in the Commissioner's Cup but the Beermen failed to advance to the playoffs.
June Mar Fajardo is unsurprisingly ahead of everyone in the Best Player of the Conference race of the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup.
At the end of the elimination round, the San Miguel superstar garnered 40.4 statistiacal points (SPs) as he led the Beermen to the top spot with an 8-3 tally.
He averaged 17.5 points and league-best 13.1 rebounds he spiked with 3.3 assists in 11 games in the elims.
The 6-foot-10 behemoth is an 11-time BPC, which includes the Season 49 Governors’ Cup top individual honor. He led the statistical race in the succeeding Commissioner’s Cup but the Beermen failed to advance to the playoffs for the first time in a decade.
Behind him is SMB teammate CJay Perez, who leads the league in points with 23.4 points on top of 4.9 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.8 steals for 38.5 SPs.
Not far behind is no. 2 NLEX Road Warriors main man Robert Bolick with 37.6 (SPs), Magnolia Hotshots rising star Zavier Lucero (37.3 SPs), and also-ran Phoenix Fuel Masters’ Jason Perkins (35.3).
