Kevin Ferrer and the struggling Terrafirma Dyip look to pull off a massive upset as they face the surging San Miguel Beermen in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup on Sunday, May 18.

Match is set at 5:00 p.m. at the Ynares Center in Montalban.

Terrafirma enters the matchup on the heels of a six-game losing skid, with the most recent defeat a 117-87 blowout loss to NLEX last May 14.

Ferrer provided a rare bright spot with 23 points on six three-pointers, while Louie Sangalang chipped in 15 points and 11 rebounds.

But the Dyip’s woes continued, shooting just 37.1 percent from the field and committing 20 turnovers—a trend that’s plagued them all conference long.

Now at 1-6, Terrafirma must find answers quickly as the Dyip go up against a 4-2 San Miguel team coming off a dominant 111-92 win over Phoenix. The Beermen, led by CJ Perez, Don Trollano, and June Mar Fajardo, are firing on all cylinders.

With nothing to lose, the Dyip hope Ferrer stays hot and the rest of the squad finally finds rhythm, as they try to shock a perennial contender and salvage a season slipping away fast.
