Warm welcome in the City of Love.
The PBA made sure to give their love in the City of Love, as the Meralco Bolts and the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots visited Iloilo on Friday.
The two squads are set to clash on Saturday, 6:30 p.m., in the PBA Commissioner's Cup.
But first, they made sure to give back through an outreach program at the SPED Integrated School for Exceptional Children.
A number of the Bolts, such as Shean Miller, Alvin Pasaol, and Jansen Rios, got into a dance with the kids.
"Loved going here! We had so much fun with the kids, parents, and teachers," posted coach Luigi Trillo.
The trip was special for the Bolts since it was homecoming for Iloilo Anjo Caram, who was reactivated in lieu of Shean Miller, the league confirmed on Saturday.
"I hope we can inspire more Ilonggo kids t be passionate about basketball, and hopefully we can have more Illonggo players and coaches in the PBA in the years to come," added assistant coach Sandro Soriano, who admitted he has not been to Iloilo after a decade.
The Hotshots also had their bonding time with the kids at the Integrated School for Exceptional Children, as shared by Jio Jalalon.
Yes, it won't be a Hotshots party without some dancing involved.
The 6-2 Meralco, sitting at third place, will be looking to challenge the conference-leading Magnolia, later at 6:30 p.m.
The Bolts could be bannering their newly-signed import Shonn Miller, who will be replacing Zach Lofton.
Coach Chito Victolero vowed to be ready for the Bolts' new reinforcement from the UConn Huskies.
"We've seen highlights of his game, but that's it," Victolero said in an interview with Hotshots.ph, "That's all we can rely on at this time, but we'll come out prepared for him."
The game will be aired on CNN Philippines, PBA Rush, and the Pilipinas Live app.
