This is one foe that will eventually be impossible to vanquish.
Like Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this one foe is inevitable.
Yes, we’re talking about Father Time, something athletes like Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James amazingly continues to keep at bay.
But it’s gonna catch up to them soon, whether they like it or not. No one, not even the Great Michael Jordan, has vanquished it.
Magnolia Hotshots gunner Paul Lee and TNT Tropang Giga veteran Kelly Williams can relate to some extent.
In separate Instagram posts, the two showed what getting old as a basketball player looks like.
For Lee, 34, getting up there in years means wrapping ice—lots and lots of it!—around his knee after every game or practice.
Look:

The old man emojis say it all for Lee, who nonetheless continues to play superbly for the Hotshots even as he is nearing the backend of 30.
At 41 years old, Williams for his part remains a serviceable big man for the Tropang Giga. While that’s something the rest of the league can only dream of, age will always creep in. And on Instagram, Machine Gun Kelly reminded all of us about it, posting a photo of himself stretching his legs.
“POV: you’re 41 getting ready for a night out,” he said in jest.
While they may be the elder statesmen in the PBA today, they continue to school younger players in the league. Williams, in fact, still got a call-up to Gilas back in February—undeniable proof that he is still seen in high regard in local hoops.
And it seems he's not stopping anytime soon. Neither will Lee for that matter.
