The NLEX Road Warriors find themselves with a much-needed big man on the road to Bulacan.

On Tuesday, the PBA approved the trade of NLEX guard Reden Celda and big man Tzaddy Rangel to the Phoenix Super LPG Fuelmasters in exchange for stretch big man Ben Adamos.

"As of now, ang bigs ko lang si Mike Miranda and Jake Pascual. I need a big badly and tamang-tama ang dating niya," NLEX coach Frankie Lim said in a statement.

"He can help us in so many ways, including rebounding and stretching the floor. He has a big upside."

Adamos played eight games with Phoenix Super LPG during last season's PBA Governors' Cup, averaging 1.4 points. He has yet to play in the PBA on Tour.

Lim is familiar with the 6-foot-7 big man, having worked with Adamos in the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta.

"Alam ko na how he can play. Sayang kasi hindi siya nagagamit," the coach noted. "In what I saw, baka puwede sa amin. Here, we can definitely use him. Buti na lang natuloy [ang trade]."

Meanwhile, six-year veteran Celda averaged 2 points and 1.5 rebounds in two games of the PBA on Tour for NLEX.

Rangel made 2.5 points and 2.5 rebounds so far in two games of the preseason.

The Road Warriors are looking for their first preseason win, as they take on the Magnolia Hotshots at Baliwag, Bulacan on Saturday, 5:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, coach Jamike Jarin's squad is aiming for 3-0 against Yeng Guiao's Rain or Shine at the Ynares Center in Antipolo this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
