Los Angeles leaned on its stingy defense, ompleting a 115-107 win against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday (PH time) at the Ball Arena.
After giving up 71 points in the first half and trailing by as many as 16 early in the third period, the Lakers shut down the Nuggets the rest of the way to pick up a second straight win.
Los Angeles limited Denver to just 36 points in the second half, mirroring its effort in the previous game against Toronto where the Lakers only allowed 39 from the Raptors after the break.
At the center of the Lakers win was Luka Doncic, who fired a triple-double of 38 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists.
LeBron James added 19 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists, while Marcus Smart scored all 15 of his points in the second half as the Lakers improved to 26-16.
Denver got 28 points and 11 assists from Jamal Murray, but he was limited to just two points in the second half.
The Nuggets dropped a second straight game for a 29-15 mark.
