Thanks to a dramatic Andrew Wiggins game-winner with 0.4 seconds left, the Miami Heat pull off a wild overtime escape over the Cavaliers despite missing superstars Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro.
In one of the wildest finishes of the NBA season, Andrew Wiggins soared for a game-winning alley-oop with 0.4 seconds remaining, lifting the Miami Heat to a 140-138 overtime thriller against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday, November 11 (PH time).
With the score tied at 138, Nikola Jovic delivered a pinpoint pass to a wide-open Wiggins, who got free off a screen from Davion Mitchell.
Prior to the play, Donovan Mitchell hit an insane triple that forced the deadlock. Earlier, Jaime Jaquez Jr. hit his own clutch shot, a tough fadeaway jumper to force overtime at 128 apiece.
Norman Powell led the way for Miami with 33 points, while Wiggins added 23. Jaquez Jr. contributed an all-around performance of 22 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists off the bench.
Big man Kel’el Ware made his presence felt with a 14-point, 20-rebound double-double in a back-and-forth contest featuring 12 ties and 15 lead changes.
The Heat now boast a three-game winning streak and a perfect 5-0 record at home, improving to 7-4 overall.
On the other hand, Mitchell put up a near triple-double with 28 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists as the Cavaliers’ four-game winning streak came to an end, dropping them to 7-4.
