When the game hung in the balance, the San Antonio Spurs knew exactly who to turn to.

Victor Wembanyama drilled two clutch triples as the Spurs handed the Chicago Bulls their first home loss of the season, 121-117, on Tuesday, November 11 (PH time).

The French phenom scored eight of San Antonio’s final 10 points in a blistering fourth-quarter takeover, helping the franchise halt a six-game skid against the Bulls.

Wembanyama finished with 38 points—including 18 in the final frame—along with 12 rebounds, six threes, five assists, and five blocks in another masterful performance.

De’Aaron Fox added 21 markers, while reigning Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle recorded a 19-point, 11-assist double in San Antonio’s first win in Chicago in four years.

With a third-straight dub, the Spurs also improved to 9-2, holding solo second in the West behind defending champion OKC Thunder (10-1).

For the Bulls, Kevin Huerter stepped up in the absence of superstar Josh Giddey (ankle) with 23 points.

Tre Jones, facing his former team, contributed 20 points, seven assists, and six rebounds but Chicago dropped its third consecutive game to fall to 6-4.

San Antonio returns home for a two-game stand against the Golden State Warriors (6-5), while Chicago embarks on a four-game road trip starting in Detroit against the East-leading Pistons (9-2).
