Yuri Romano made 15 points for Italy in the FIVB Men's World Championship semifinal, eliminating world no. 1 Poland via sweep.

Opposite spiker Yuri Romano helped Italy deal Poland a sweep in the 2025 FIVB Men's World Championship semifinal, firing 15 points from 12 attacks, two blocks, and an ace.

The defending champions returned to the gold medal match, 25-21, 25-22, 25-23.

The last time they faced each other in a high-stakes match, Poland swept Italy for the 2025 VNL title.
