The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) named former international scout Ric Marchioli as the Philippine Women's National Football Team's newest assistant coach.
The Philippine Women’s National Football Team will have a new, additional voice to listen to at the sidelines.
That is after the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) named Riccardo Marchioli as the Filipinas assistant coach on Friday, August 1
“His understanding of high-stakes environments and his commitment to cultural excellence will be a tremendous asset to the Filipinas,” PFF President John Gutierrez said on the hiring of Marchioli.
He will work alongside Mark Torcaso, who praised the newest additon to his coaching staff.
“He [Marchioli] brings a strategic mind that will push us to think differently and prepare even more thoroughly. We’re not just gaining a coach; we’re gaining a true collaborator who shares our passion for continuous improvement and achieving the extraordinary for Philippine football,” Torcaso bared.

Marchioli’s most notable feat came when he served as international scout for the gold medal-winning US Women’s National Football Team in the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
He also served as an assistant coach for the New Castle Jets FC in the A-League, Australia’s top flight football league.
The Filipinas are gearing up for the ASEAN MSIG Serenity Cup 2025 and the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Finals 2026 in Australia, and the addition of Marchioli could be pivotal for the team’s performace heading to the tournaments.
