Thanks to career outings from Kamilla Cardoso and Aliyah Boston, the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever picked up statement wins to snap their respective skids.
Meanwhile, the Washington Mystics handed the league-leading Minnesota Lynx a rare loss, and the Dallas Wings are starting to stack victories after a slow start to the season.
MYSTICS SHOCK LYNX; CARDOSO, BOSTON SET NEW CAREER-HIGHS
- Washington Mystics (7-8) def. Minnesota Lynx (12-2), 68-64: The Mystics became just the second team this season to hand the Lynx a loss, rallying from 14 points down to spoil a career night from Alanna Smith and notch back-to-back wins.
Shakira Austin powered the comeback with 19 points, leading a balanced effort against a Lynx squad missing star forward Napheesa Collier.
- Chicago Sky (4-10) def. LA Sparks (4-11), 97-86: Behind a career-high 27 points from Kamilla Cardoso, the Sky snapped a three-game skid by handing the Sparks their fourth straight loss.
Angel Reese added a monster double-double with 18 markers and 17 boards — her sixth of the season — as the Sky earned their first home win in nearly a month.
- Indiana Fever (7-7) def. Seattle Storm (9-6), 94-86: Aliyah Boston was firing on all cylinders, setting a new career-high with 31 points to lead the Fever to a much-needed road win to climb back to a .500 mark for the first time in a month.
Kelsey Mitchell added 26 in the victory, as Indiana snapped Seattle’s three-game winning streak — despite Caitlin Clark being limited to just six points.
- Dallas Wings (4-12) def. Atlanta Dream (10-5), 68-55: Arike Ogunbowale delivered her third 20-point game of the season, fueling a strong bounce-back win for the Wings at the Dream’s expense.
Ogunbowale finished with 21 points as three other Wings players scored in double figures, helping Dallas secure its third victory in the last four games.
