The Reyes Cup will once again be held in the home country of pool legend Efren “Bata” Reyes.
Premier pool action will grace the Ninoy Aquino Stadium anew this October as the Reyes Cup returns for its second iteration in Manila, honoring the home country of tournament namesake Efren “Bata” Reyes.
The Reyes Cup pitted Team Asia against Team Europe in the inaugural tournament last year, as the competition saw the Asians, led by Filipinos like Johann Chua and Carlo Biado, take the victory over Team Europe.
Singapore’s Aloysius Yapp was named MVP in the tournament where Team Asia was skippered by Reyes himself. However, the 70-year-old did not officially compete in the tournament.
The Asians built a lead for themselves before ultimately winning with a score of 11-6.

In last year’s competition, Team Europe was led by Karl Boyes along with the likes of Jayson Shaw, Mikey Krause, among others.
The Reyes Cup takes after the format of the famed Mosconi Cup, and now with a second iteration, will hope to gain the same prestige as their European-American counterpart.
The Mosconi Cup has been around since 1994.
