MACAU—The Taoyuan Pauian Pilots complete the EASL Finals 2025 cast after a gritty 71-64 win over the Ryukyu Golden Kings Friday at the Macau Studio City Event Center here.

The Pilots leaned on their hot-start in the first quarter, where they limited the Golden Kings to just 10 points.

In control for most of the match, Taoyuan built its largest lead at 44-28 after Lu Chun-Hsiang’s layup. However, Ryukyu seemingly flipped the switch and went on a 16-4 run to close out the third quarter.

The Golden Kings would eventually take the lead after scoring the first point in the fourth, courtesy of Hayate Arakawa’s jumper.

The two squads would go on to exchange leads, before Alec Brown’s dagger triple with 49.3 seconds put Taoyuan up, 67-60, and effectively seal the victory for the Pilots.

Alex Kirk, Jack Cooley, and Ryuichi Kishimoto all finished with 11 points for Ryukyu, who will head to the bronze medal match against the New Taipei Kings.

Taoyuan will look to take down another Japanese squad in the Hiroshima Dragonflies when the two teams meet in the final on Sunday, March 7.
