Robert Bolick is on a heater right now.
The NLEX guard is stuffing the stat sheet as he looks to make some noice for the NLEX Road Warriors in the ongoing PBA Season 48 Philippine Cup.
And for his incredible effort this past week, Bolick has been cited as the PBA Press Corps-Pilipinas Live Player of the Week for March 6-10.
Robert’s recent exploits include 16 points in the fourth quarter to help NLEX erase a 10-point lead for a 99-96 win over Meralco.
“Buti na lang may Bolick kami,” coach Frankie Lim said after their escape act versus the Bolts. “Isipin mo kung wala ito rito.”
Bolick then followed it up with an offensive masterclass in a 115-93 win over Converge, scoring a new career-high of 46 points, the first time a local scored over 40 this season.
Averaging 36 points (59 percent field goal and 39 percent three-point shooting), 6.5 rebounds and six assists, Bolick powered NLEX to back-to-back wins as the Road Warriors sit a strong 3-1 in the PBA Standings.
“Iniisip ko talaga is manalo. Individual lang yan [career high], team sport ito, eh. Masaya ako na nanalo at masaya ako na iyung teammates ko nandiyan sila really to play,” Bolick said.
“Kahit sino’ng ipasok ni coach, maganda ang nilaro. Sana magtuloy-tuloy na,” added Bolick, who gets added inspiration from being a father in a few months.
