What a year it has been for the young racer!
Racer Bianca Bustamante has had a 2023 to remember, impressing F1 driver Esteban Ocon of the Alpine F1 Team back in April and netting achievement after achievement after achievement.
The year has been so kind to the young Filipina that not even her disastrous debut at the Macau Grand Prix of the 2023 Formula 4 South East Asia Championship could put a dampen on an otherwise banner 2023.
And, perhaps fittingly, she will end the year with another achievement: making it to Google’s 25 Years in Search: The Most Searched. In it, the tech titan celebrated “the most searched figures and moments in 25 years of Google Search”—ranging from “some of the world’s most iconic performances to history-making breakthroughs—via a moving video montage Google itself made.
Watch it here, and you’ll see Bustamante at the 3:18 mark:
The honor is not lost on the 18-year-old Filipina racer, who reposted the said video on her X (formerly Twitter) account.
“Imagine our win in Valencia being featured in Google’s 25 years most searched,” Bustamante wrote as caption.
Bustamante, of course, is referring to her first triumph in the inaugural season of the F1 Academy, where she won Race 2 of the second round. Along the way, she bested top contenders such as Swiss driver Lena Buhler and Hamda Al Qubaisi of the United Arab Emirates.
She was naturally giddy—and proud at the same time.
“From a small town in Philippines, to reaching greater heights,” she continued. “Ever so proudly representing (the Philippines). Thank you to everyone supporting!!! AAACK.”
The young history-maker is proudly reppin’ the PH, all right, and she is only getting started.
