Look good to play good, right?
Real ones know: a man must always get his fresh cut when he needs it.
It might be for a date with a special someone, a crucial business presentation, or for some members of Gilas Pilipinas, it’s for game day.
Not one, not two, but three national team hoopers called up barber Joe Camacam recently when they were in the country for the sixth window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers. They are Dwight Ramos, Kiefer Ravena, and Thirdy Ravena.
Camacam flaunted to the world about his house call to the trio. Of course, he’s got to be his own champion.
While Ramos and the Ravena brothers have gone back to the Land of the Rising Sun for their Japan B.League duties, Camacam is still here in the Pearl of the Orient serving more clients. After all, he’s not new to the business.
His expertise has actually attracted some high-profile clients.
Here’s actor and music artist James Reid visiting their barber shop in Makati.
It seems, though, that Camacam has established his name firmly among the hoopers. Another Gilas pool member, Kai Sotto, is also his client.
Here he is servicing for another house call, this time with Converge FiberXers star guard, Maverick Ahanmisi.
Rain or Shine Elasto Painter Nick Demusis got another defensive tactic in his arsenal: distracting opponents with how he looks too good in his burst fade cut.
It’s obvious by now that Camacam is not just any haircutter. He also owns the barber shop called Qubo, located in Makati. Don’t just walk in, though, because haircuts are done by appointment. What else do you expect from a topnotch barber?
Former NBA player and defender of barbers Jalen Rose would definitely visit that shop. They say he tips well.
Camacam sure hopes his clients will embrace Jalen’s mentality.
