The Tamaraws dropped to 0-2 start after an 84-68 loss to NU, a game where they clawed back from a 14-point halftime deficit to trail by just three entering the fourth quarter, only to be outscored, 29-14, in the final frame.
Mongcopa and Janrey Pasaol each tallied 16 points, while Jorick Bautista added 15, but FEU once again folded anew in the final frame.
The Morayta-based squad also absorbed an opening-day loss to Ateneo and is now in seventh place, just ahead of fellow winless team and cellar dwellars UE (0-3) in the team standings.
Against DLSU, FEU is eager to get over the hump to get the season on track.
