The Taft-based squad suffered its first loss of the season, falling 93-84 to the UST Growling Tigers in one of the early tournament surprises.

The defeat ended DLSU’s 16-game winning streak against UST, despite the Green Archers holding a 12-point lead in the third quarter.

Jacob Cortez led the Green Archers with 17 points, three rebounds and two assists, while Earl Abadam added 11 markers.

Sitting solo fourth at 1-1, DLSU will be out to put its campaign back on track while aiming to keep the skidding FEU Tamaraws winless in Season 88.
