The FEU Lady Tamaraws will look to build on their previous season's improvements by welcoming back head coach Tina Salak for UAAP Season 87.
Tina Salak is officially back as the head coach of women's volleyball in the Far Eastern University.
Salak, who initially took on a mentorship role with the team in the previous season, is set to fully resume her duties for the upcoming UAAP Season 87.
As the head coach of the FEU Lady Tamaraws in Season 85, Salak spearheaded the Tamaraws’ rebuild with a 6-8 finish, a massive leap from their 1-13 record the season before.
FEU originally intended for Salak to provide long-term leadership for the team. But due to personal administrative matters, she missed most of the buildup for UAAP Season 86.
However, she remained engaged with the team as a consultant, while coach Manolo Refugia led the Lady Tamaraws to a successful campaign.

In Season 86, the Tamaraws finished with a 9-5 record and were a win away from advancing to the finals after forcing a do-or-die match against eventual champions National University in the Final Four
Now back with the team full-time, Salak will reassume her position as head coach, bringing her extensive experience to guide the Lady Tamaraws in their pursuit of excellence.
Refugia, who has been instrumental in the team’s recent success, will continue to be a vital part of Salak's coaching staff.
