It’s always fun to build hypothetical, star-studded teams consisting of your favorite players. It's even better when it's the actual players themselves talking about their dream teammates.

Ateneo De Manila University Blue Eagles star Faith Nisperos recently revealed her picks in both the UAAP and PVL.

Speaking to volleyball analyst Carmela Tunay during their livestream on social media app Kumu on Monday, Nisperos named some of the UAAP’s top stars as her dream teammates.

She started with two elite talents from Adamson University and University of Santo Tomas, who are getting set to perform in the Final Four on Wednesday.

“Sa setter, si Louie Romero. Idol ko 'yun high school pa lang. Tapos open hitter, siyempre si Ate Eya [Laure],” said Nisperos.

The Ateneo star also named some of the players from their arch rivals, the De La Salle University Lady Spikers.

“Sa middle [blocker] naman, si Thea [Gagate]. Gusto ko maging teammate siya ulit,” said Nisperos. “Libero, si [Justine] Jazareno kasi 'pag bumabagsak bola sa kanya, I swear [nakukuha].”

One surprising answer by Nisperos was her choice for opposite hitter. While there are many established spikers out there, the Blue Eagles ace named a rising star from La Salle.

“Sa opposite, maybe si [Shevana] Laput. Curious lang talaga ako kasi bago siya. Curious lang ako kasi siyempre off the bench siya,” said Nisperos.

Nisperos didn't stop there, as she went on to make her PVL selection, too. To be specific, these are players she hopes to play with in the future.

To no surprise, she chose players from both the Creamline Cool Smashers and the Petro Gazz Angels, champions and runners-up, respectively, in the last PVL All-Filipino Conference.

“Setter, si ate Jia [De Guzman],” the Blue Eagle said. “Open hitter, parang dream come true naman 'pag naging teammate ko pa 'yung idol ko si ate Alyssa [Valdez].”

“Opposite naman si inang Aiza [Maizo-Pontillas] kasi naka-scrimmage na namin 'yan tapos amazed na amazed ako [sa kanya],” said Nisperos while beaming about the Petro Gazz star.

“Middle, si Ate MJ [Phillips] kasi siyempre parang gusto ko malaman ano mindset niya kasi alam ko she came from an injury,” referring to the South Korea-bound volleybelle who returned to the  import-less conference after dealing with a shoulder injury.

Nisperos, however, was unable to name a dream libero she wants to play with in the PVL.

The Ateneo star now has to make a choice between maxing our her eligibility in the UAAP or jumping over to the PVL. If she chooses the latter, then she may just realize her dream of being teammates with a couple of these stars whom she admires.
