Filipinas got the Filipinas' back.

The Philippine women's national football team was standing and cheering while at the bleachers during the 32nd Southeast Asian Games women's volleyball match between their compatriots and Vietnam on Wednesday night.

Goalkeeper Inna Palacios even shared the moment on Instagram as they did the wave and cheered, "Pilipinas, laban!"

It was a way for the Filipinas to show their fellow Philippine athletes some love.

"It's so nice to be Pinoy at this time," Palacios told One Sports' Denise Tan. "This is our way of showing our love and support to all the Filipino athletes out there."

Their presence in the Philippine women's volleyball match was also a way of paying it forward to team captain Alyssa Valdez, who took the time to watch the Filipinas' match against Malaysia.

"We have to pay our respects because Alyssa came to one of our events before," defender Hali Long said.

"Obviously, there's a lot more Pinoys here. It's a lot nice to see and feel the love and support for our kababayans," she added.

The love for the volleyball team has been overwhelming, with Valdez and Michele Gumabao swarmed by Filipinos as they headed to the locker room after the match against Cambodia.  However, they dropped three sets against 2021 silver medalists Vietnam.

"Just to feel we're one big delegation, to show our physical support, it's really nice," Long added.

The Filipinas, bronze medalists in the 2021 SEA Games, missed the knockout stage despite beating gold medalists Vietnam, 2-1

Now, they will look towards the biggest stage of them all--the FIFA Women's World Cup.

Maybe they can get some love too.

"It's really important to show support for each other," midfielder Sara Eggesvik said. "We're a big team, big family. All together."
