Unbeaten no more.

The Cignal Super Spikers complete a stunning sweep against the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles, 25-12, 26-24, 25-23, to deal their first loss in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference on Thursday, November 13, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

It’s a huge turnaround for the Super Spikers, who remain perfect in the second round with a 4-3 overall record. The Thunderbelles moved to 6-1, still first in the standings.

Tied at 14-16 in the third set, Cignal went on a 5-1 run to take a crucial two-point lead after a service ace by Erika Santos.

Anna DeBeer tried to extend the match for ZUS Coffee after tying the game at 23-all, scoring her squad’s last five points.

But Santos would put the Super Spikers at match points before delivering the game-winning kill block on Chinnie Arroyo.

Santos led the way with 19 points on 13 attacks, three blocks, and three service aces.

Up next for Cignal will be the Creamline Cool Smashers on Tuesday, November 18, at the Ynares Center Montalban.

ZUS Coffee will also be back on Tuesday as it looks to get back on track against the Nxled Chameleons.
