The ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles put up a stellar five-set comeback to overcome the Akari Chargers in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference.
                                 
                                
                                    The ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles remain perfect in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference after pulling off the reverse sweep against the Akari Chargers, 23-25, 22-25, 25-23, 25-12, 15-7, in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Tuesday, November 4.
Down two sets, the Thunderbelles suddenly came alive in the third and fourth frames to force a decider against the Chargers.
With all the momentum on their side, ZUS Coffee blasted to an early 8-1 lead in the fifth set behind import Anna DeBeer and rookie AC Miner.
From there, the Thunderbelles cruised to their fifth straight win, keeping their perfect record intact, while Akari slipped to 3-2, still part of the top 3 as they head into the next phase of the tournament.
DeBeer finished with a game-high 33 points, while Riza Nogales added 11 markers.
