The Akari Chargers remain in the hunt for a Top 3 spot in Pool B of the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference after sweeping the Galeries Tower Highrisers.
The Akari Chargers are back on track in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference after brushing past the Galeries Tower Highrisers for their first straight sets win, 25-11, 25-23, 25-23, at the FilOil EcoOil Arena in San Juan on Tuesday, October 28.
Coming off their first loss in the conference, the Chargers made sure to maintain their pace for a top spot in Pool B, sitting with a 3-1 record alongside the Petro Gazz Angels.
The Highrisers, meanwhile, will finish Pool B winless at 0-5. No team will be eliminated just yet, as they will switch groups in the second round.
Mars Alba was hailed the Player of the Game after orchestrating their victory with 19 excellent sets to go along with four points.
Akari will be back next Tuesday, November 4, for their replayed match against the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles.
