Cignal needed a full five sets this time, but the Super Spikers pulled out the victory nonetheless, frustrating the Nxled Chameleons in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference Saturday at the Ynares Center in Montalban, 25-21, 23-25, 20-25, 25-15, 16-14.
After giving up back-to-back sets, Cignal had to make a frenetic push in the fourth to force a decider.
By the fifth set, the Super Spikers finished with a 3-0 run after Paola Martinez initially put Nxled at match point.
New import Katrin Trebichavska saved the match point with a kill, before the Super Spikers got to their own match point with a Martinez error.
Roselyn Doria then won a just to confirm Cignal’s victory.
Birthday girl Erika Santos was named Player of the Game with 21 points on 19 attacks, one block, and an ace.
