Anna DeBeer was unstoppable from start to finish as ZUS Coffee claimed its second win against defending champion Creamline in the PVL Reinforced Conference.
Zus Coffee import Anna DeBeer had her biggest fan watching from the sidelines Thursday night, Oct. 23.
As such, she put on a show.
With her mom, Sara, watching, DeBeer rifled in 37 points and the Thunderbelles hammered out a 25-27, 25-17, 25-20, 25-22 win over 10-time champ Creamline for a 3-0 tally in Pool B of the PVL Reinforced Conference.
“[This game is] so special. She is the best. She travels a lot and always finds the time to come out and support me through all my games,” said DeBeer of her mother.

With DeBeer's mom staying for a few weeks in the country, one could expect more inspired performances from the Zus Coffee reinforcement.
“So to have her here and see a few games, it will be a nice few weeks. She’ll be here, which is exciting. To have her here, it feels like a piece of home away from home,” DeBeer said.
Anna DeBeer stays consistent
It was not the first time that DeBeer turned in a prolific performance.
In her PVL debut, the American reinforcement also produced the same number of points in Zus Coffee's triumphant opener against Chery Tiggo EV last Oct. 11.
But DeBeer refused to make the Thunderbelles' latest victory about her.
Backing her up was Alexis Miner, who sealed the win with back-to-back hits, including the game-winning quick attack.
“Super excited when you have team wins like that… It was nice to have everybody step up in different moments and make adjustments from what they're doing. It really pushed us to be the best version of ourselves,” DeBeer said.

Meanwhile, five players finished in double figures for the Cool Smashers, but their efforts were still not enough as they absorbed a second loss in four outings.
Import Coco Schwan tried to rally the pack with 18 points, Alyssa Valdez swung 13, Tots Carlos and Pangs Panaga added 11 each, while Michelle Gumabao had 10.
