It’s no secret that the PLDT High Speed Hitters are the heavy favorites to win it all in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference. And that has shown with their dominant 2-0 start.

But even so, veterans Kianna Dy and Kath Arado remain grounded and focused on their ultimate goal.

Coming off a clean sweep of the Choco Mucho Flying Titans on Thursday night, Dy emphasized that the team is treating this conference as a completely new challenge, especially with foreign reinforcements raising the level of competition.

“It’s a new conference, and ‘yung conference each team has a reinforcement, so it's really gonna be a different level,” Dy said during the post-game press conference.

“We just focus on one game at a time. Hindi na namin iniisip na ay back-to-back. It’s a new conference, new teams, may mga ibang players na pumasok, may mga reinforcements.”

The same sentiment was shared by Arado, adding that the approach for the High Speed Hitters remain the same since their perfect run in the On Tour and Invitationals.

Evolving each game

Knowing what it takes to win, PLDT is determined to sustain its momentum while continuing to evolve as a team.

And while they may have established themselves as the team to beat, Dy and Arado know that success will only come if they remain hungry, focused, and united with each match.
