The Akari Chargers jumped to a 2-0 start in Pool B of the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference after derailing the Chery Tiggo EV Crossovers in five sets, 25-11, 23-25, 29-27, 17-25, 15-7, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Tuesday, October 14.

Coming off their huge opening victory against the Creamline Cool Smashers, the Chargers made sure not to let their momentum slip away against the gritty Crossovers squad.

It was a strong local outing for Akari led by libero Justine Jazareno, who was hailed the Player of the Game with 27 excellent digs and six excellent receptions.

Akari will return on October 23, when they clash with the Petro Gazz Angels at the FilOil EcoOil Arena.

Chery Tiggo, meanwhile, continues to search for its first win as it looks to defeat Petro Gazz on October 18 at the Capital Arena, Ilagan City.
