The Akari Chargers finally get one over the Creamline Cool Smashers after their five-set stunner in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference.
DASMARIÑAS—For the first time in franchise history, the Akari Chargers have taken down the Creamline Cool Smashers in a five-set thriller, 23-25, 25-23, 30-28, 23-25, 15-12, in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference here at the City of Dasmariñas Arena on Saturday, October 11.
In front of 4,328 spectators, the Chargers finally solved the Cool Smashers puzzle behind American import Annie Mitchem, avenging last year’s Reinforced Conference Finals loss.
Mitchem carried Akari on her back with 33 points on 32 attacks and one block in her PVL debut.
This marks the Chargers’ first victory against the Cool Smashers after 10 outings, dating all the way back to their first campaign in the 2022 Reinforced Conference.
Akari will go for back-to-back wins against the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, while Creamline hopes to avoid a 0-2 start when the champs clash with the Petro Gazz Angels.
Both games will be on Tuesday, October 14, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
