A week after scoring a breakthrough over league newcomer Capital1, Galeries Tower dispatched another neophyte in Strong Group Athletics Saturday afternoon.

The Highrisers made short work of SGA, carving out a convincing sweep, 25-17, 25-14, 25-12, in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the Ynares Center Antipolo.

After a brief struggle in the early goings, Galeries Tower leaned on Fhem Emnas, Ysa Jimenez and Audrey Paran to pull away and secure the opener.

The Highrisers then carried momentum in the second frame with Graze Bombita taking charge, creating a cushion that swelled to as high as 11.

Galeries Tower never looked back in the decisive third to clinch the win that pushed its record to 2-4. It's the team's first winning streak in its young PVL franchise history.

Bombita led all scorers with 16, all but one coming from attacks.

Paran delivered 12 points, on top of six digs, while Emnas fanned out 12 excellent sets to put 10 Highrisers on the scoring charts.

Galeries Tower overwhelmed SGA with a 48-19 disparity in attacks.

No one from the losing side scored in double digits.

Sheeka Espinosa had seven points, while Dolly Verzosa and Mary Joy Onofre managed six markers apiece as SGA remained winless in six matches.

Galeries Tower seeks to make it three in a row when it tries to upset Choco Mucho on April 2, Tuesday.

SGA, on the other hand, attempts to barge into the win column when it takes on Nxled.

Both matches will be held at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
