What would you do to see your favorite idol groups?
If it were up to Creamline Cool Smashers’ Ced Domingo and Michele Gumabao, they would do anything, or at least, they would be willing to toil on a long walk and spend several hours waiting.
In her latest YouTube vlog, Domingo shared her experience during BLACKPINK’s concert in the Philippines last March. And in a truly Filipino way, of course, the venue and its surrounding roads were jam-packed with traffic.
Celine, her younger sister Cy, and Michele weren't running late to the concert, but they were in a rush. As avid fans, they wanted to make it to the group's sound check, which takes place ahead of the actual concert.
Given the traffic, the trio chose to walk hundreds of meters to make it on time.
"One for the books! For BLACKPINK!" A smiling Domingo said on camera as they strolled a wide road with a queue of vehicles in the background.
"Naglalakad para sa BLACKPINK," added Gumabao.
Once reaching the venue, Ced breathed a sigh of relief.
"You cannot imagine kung gaano kalayo and kahaba 'yung nilakad namin," the reigning PVL Invitational Best Middle Blocker said.
Michele didn't forget to check on the bagets they carried with them.
"Cy, are you there? Are you alive?" Gumabao asked playfully.
Their trip to the concert is actually Domingo's birthday gift for her sister, who's also a BLACKPINK fanatic like the two volleybelles.
After the sound check, they then had to wait for hours before the real concert began.
The three ladies walked quite a distance, and then waited a few hours, but they didn't mind at all.
Like they said, anything for BLACKPINK.
