Richie Rodger is staying with the NLEX Road Warriors for the 50th season of the PBA.
After sitting out most of the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup owing to appendicitis, Richie Rodger is eager to return to the hardcourt.
The sweet-shooting guard will have a chance to do just that after signing a one-year extension with NLEX Wednesday, Aug. 27.
“After missing most of our last conference with appendicitis, I’m excited to be back with the team after seeing how well we played getting to the quarterfinals,” said Rodger, who only played four games last conference.

Since coach Jong Uichico took over, things have looked up for the Road Warriors.
NLEX even reached the quarterfinals of a cutthroat All-Filipino conference, but unfortunately squandered a twice-to-beat advantage against Rain or Shine.
The Road Warriors also emerged as champions in the recently concluded Kadayawan Invitational Basketball tournament, where they squared off against Phoenix, Blackwater and Converge.

Now Rodger and the rest of the Road Warriors look to build on these and hopefully raise the ante as they plunge into action in October when the league's 50th season unfurls.
“It was unfortunate that we fell short with the twice-to-beat advantage, and that was tough for everyone, but that serves as motivation for us going into PBA Season 50,” Rodger said.
He added: “I’m really looking forward to taking the court again and, hopefully, I can contribute and help us take the next step as a team.”
