Schonny Winston and Bryan Santos signed an extension with Converge. The two are part of the young FiberXers core expected to lead the team to another level.
Schonny Winston is staying with Converge after all.
Winston and the FiberXers finally found common ground and agreed to a two-year extension Wednesday, August 27.
This bodes well for the FiberXers, who got 16.08 points, 4.83 rebounds, and 2.92 assists from the rising star during the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup.
Just days ago, uncertainty shrouded the shooting guard’s future with Converge after he sat out the Kidayawan Invitational Basketball Tournament.
Winston flew to Davao City with the team but didn’t see action.

Now the FiberXers get to keep their young core that includes Justin Arana, Justine Baltazar, and Alec Stockton.
Also getting a fresh deal with Converge are the hot-shooting Bryan Santos (two years) and Jeo Ambohot (one year).
