Pinoy fans in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports scene were shocked on Thursday after MLBB Professional League (MPL) Indonesia announced EVOS Legends released Filipino EXP laner Gerald "Dlar" Trinchera.

He even shared a fan-edited TikTok video of himself crying and vowing, "I promise I won't cry anymore, I have to be strong. But now..."

Dlar then added the lyrics to Christina Perri's song, "A Thousand Years," "And all along I believed I would find you."

He is now looking for a team and posted this vow on X (formerly known as Twitter).

"Super competitive ulit. Bawing-bawi ako, potek gusto ko pa patunayan na pambalagbagan pa rin," Dlar posted.

Fans shared their well-wishes for the Pinoy EXP laner.

Some also expressed disappointment since the release came long after squads in MPL Philippines locked their roster for Season 12

Dlar previously played for ONIC Philippines before shifting to the Indonesia-based squad EVOS Legends. But it seemed he was used less and less, eventually leading to a bittersweet moment in the MLBB Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) quarterfinals, when Dlar was finally called up for EVOS.

The only thing is, he was matched up against his former teammate Kairi Rayosdelsol, who played for MPL Indonesia Season 11 winner ONIC Esports.

Kairi and ONIC Esports swept Dlar and EVOS Legends, leading to a hug between the two Filipino players

Hope to see you bounce back soon, General!
