Far Eastern University extended its winning run to five games after defeating the University of the Philippines in a hard-fought four-set match, 25-20, 27-29, 25-21, 25-21, in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament on Saturday, April 20 at the Philsports Arena.
The Lady Tamaraws leaned on their bench in the crucial fourth set. After Steph Bustrillo tied the game at 20-20 for the Fighting Maroons, Alyzza Devosora, Mitzi Panangin, and Chenie Tagaod combined for five consecutive points to seal the win for the Lady Tamaraws.
Tagaod finished with 13 points, while Devosora added nine markers.
