Some friendly competition between Gaston and Phillips.
PVL stars aren’t just competitive inside the court, sometimes even during training sessions as well.
In an Instagram story, Pauline Gaston of the Chery Tiggo Crossovers posted a video of MJ Phillips’ intense treadmill run.
Phillips, who is set to play for the Gwangju Al Peppers in the Korean Volleyball League, was trying to beat Gaston’s record on the treadmill.
But while she did hit a new personal record of 32.4 km/h, the two-time PVL best middle blocker was unable to beat Gaston's feat.
Of course, the former Ateneo Blue Eagles standout had to bring out the devil smiling emoji, but not without tipping her hat to MJ.
"I love how competitive we all are 😈," Gaston wrote.
Both players have been preparing hard to help their respective teams in the PVL and the KVL once the season resumes.
Once thing is for sure though, it won’t be the last time that Phillips will try to beat Gaston’s record in the treadmill.
