The Foxies have got the fans all excited.
The Farm Fresh Foxies are leaving no stones unturned to field in a competitive team come the PVL Invitational Conference, set to unfurl on June 27.
Already, the Foxies have signed up a champion coach in Jerry Yee while also adding former Ateneo Blue Eagle Pia Ildefonso to a roster bannered by Joan Narit, also of Ateneo, and NCAA MVP Mycah Go of the Benilde Lady Blazers.
Farm Fresh has also started playing tune-up games as it ramps up preparations for the PVL’s midseason tournament, which will also feature two other new teams in the Foton Tornadoes and Gerflor Defenders. And on Thursday, the Foxies shared on social media clips of their tune-up with California Academy, winners of the 2023 Philippine National Volleyball Federation Champions League and the 2023 Shakey’s Girls Volleyball Invitational League.
The 59-second clip shows Farm Fresh looking sharp and spry—and with a rhythm going already, like a team that has been playing much longer.
See for yourself:
Fans seem impressed, or at least those who reacted to the clip. Most, in particular, raved about Narit and her outstanding blocking—and many are hopeful that Queen Narit will show out in the country’s premier volleyball league.
Getting the thumbs up as well were Farm Fresh’s setters led by rising star Cloanne Mondoñedo, whom fans praised for her seemingly effortless yet on-point setting. Even Ildefonso got a few positive reviews and quite a lot of well-wishers hoping Coach Jerry can get the best out of the come-backing spiker
Of course, it remains to be seen how well Farm Fresh will perform in the PVL Invitational, which figures to be among the most competitive in recent memory with the holdover teams all adding to the arsenal during the offseason.
