Kevin Ferrer joins a TNT squad that is raring to bounce back after falling short of a PBA Grand Slam in Season 49.
Kevin Ferrer felt giddy as a kid when he faced reporters during the PBA Season 50 Media Day Thursday, September 25.
Ferrer made his first appearance as a new member of TNT after signing a one-year deal with the Tropang 5G earlier this month.
“Sobrang excited dahil new environment, new team, and new journey. Kinakabahan din kasi parang rookie uli ako,” said Ferrer.

After his contract with Terrafirma expired in June, Ferrer found himself without a team for more than two months.
So when TNT came asking, it was an easy decision for the 32-year-old winger.
“Nag decide talaga ako ng new team talaga, new environment, new me,” he said with a smile.
But the system and the people aren’t exactly new for Ferrer.
The defensive lynchpin now joins his former Gilas Cadets coach and teammate in Chot Reyes and RR Pogoy, respectively.
That has helped make the transition smooth.
“'Di rin ako nahirapan dahil same system, parang Gilas Cadets,” he said.
Unlike when he was younger, the two-time champion with Ginebra brings experience and maturity that will go a long way with TNT raring to bounce back after falling short of a rare Grand Slam in Season 49.
“Knowing coach Chot, matagal din kaming nagsama. Alam ko na rin sistema niya. Maturity din yung madadala ko,” he said.

Like most sportswriters, Jan Ballesteros once dreamed of becoming a professional hooper. But he learned the hard way that it’s not for everyone.
He continues to be involved in the sport he loves, but this time as a member of the PBA Press Corps. Aside from primarily covering the PBA, he is also assigned to cover Gilas Pilipinas.
