The Petro Gazz Angels are barging through the PNVF Champions League Finals after ripping the Chery Tiggo Crossovers on Friday night.
The Angels orchestrated a straight-set drubbing of the Crossovers, 25-21, 25-19, 25-14, in the semifinals at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
Jonah Sabete flaunted her lethal form, pummeling for 19 points built on 13 attacks, four blocks, and two aces for Petro Gazz, which set up a date for the title with Cignal.
After securing the first two sets, the Angels rode the crest of momentum and raced out of the decisive third frame with a 23-14 — a lead that proved to be insurmountable for the Crossovers.
Brooke Van Sickle fueled the Petro Gazz firepower with 12 points while Remy Palma churned out 10 markers.
On the other hand, Chery Tiggo was relegated to the battle for third place with College of Saint Benilde.
Eya Laure emerged as the lone double-digit scorer for the Crossovers with 15 points.
Ara Galang finished with eight points as Aby Marano contibuted six markers.
The Finals and the bronze medal match will start tomorrow, Saturday, in the same venue. Games will air on One Sports, One Sports+, and the Pilipinas Live app.
