LA Tenorio continues his uphill battle against the Big C, and the Philippine basketball legend is nearing the completion of his chemotherapy.
Tenorio shared on Instagram that he has completed 11 out of 12 sessions.
"This is it. One last! Let’s go! 11/12- PRAY, HOPE AND DON’T WORRY 🙏" Tenorio said.
The eight-time PBA champion was accompanied by Barangay Ginebra San Miguel teammates Justin Brownlee and Aljon Mariano, and former teammate Paolo Taha.
"Appreciate you guys from the bottom of my heart. So touched by the love and support, and making me feel you guys, my teammates are together with me in this battle. Bringing the NSD to another level!"
Other members of the PBA family including June Mar Fajardo, Gabe Norwood, Mark Barroca, and Jayjay Helterbrand reacted to the latest update on Tenorio's health.
Tenorio announced last March that he was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. He has since taken a step back from playing basketball but remained active in helping the Barangay Ginebra with coaching duties. The former national team member is also an active member of the FIBA local ambassadors for the FIBA World Cup.
