It appears the PBA is not taking the “ligang labas” violations lightly.

On Wednesday, the league penalized three more players barely a week since handing out fines to 10 players who played in unsanctioned games.

NorthPort Batang Pier’s Kent Salado, Blackwater’s Ato Ular and Rey Suerte, were slapped with a P50,000 fine each for “playing in an invitational tournament in Davao City.”

The PBA said in its website the said players failed to ask for permission from their respective teams.

Three days ago, the NLEX Road Warriors also terminated the contract of big man JR Quinahan after being involved in a scuffle in a “ligang labas” game in Cebu. The team said the bruiser also committed several infractions of his Uniform Players’ Contract.

Quinahan was among the 10 active players penalized for playing in the aforementioned unsanctioned game.
