Internet explodes over Luka's 60-21-10 game

No NBA player has ever scored 60 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists in a game — until Luka Doncic battled the New York Knicks today.

In fact, according to StatMuse, if you took away 10 rebounds from Luka, he would still have the first 60-11-10 game in NBA history. “Luka Magic” indeed.

Luka also set his career-high numbers in points and rebounds. He also set the most points in a game by a Maverick, and the most 50-point games (3 games) by a Dallas player.

As if Luka's individual numbers weren't fascinating enough, that Mavs 126-121 overtime win against the Knicks was so gritty and improbable that they broke a 13,000-game losing streak of all NBA teams. Wild.

2004 NBA MVP Kevin Garnett, who had a lot of battles against Mavs great Dirk Nowitzki, said Luka is right up there with the German legend.

Many records today almost always have Wilt Chamberlain's name on it. For Luka to set a record that's not achieved even by Wilt the Stilt blew the minds of media veterans Bill Simmons and Nick Wright.

Those on the Atlanta Hawks bandwagon can't help but recall that they almost had Luka on their team.

And after a 60-21-10 game, what does Luka want? You guessed it — beer. A bottle of beer must hit different after that kind of performance. We feel you, Luka.
