After a rough stretch of four straight losses, the New York Knicks are beginning to heat up.

Jalen Brunson poured in 28 points, spearheading a fourth-quarter pull away that propelled the Knicks to a dominant 103-87 victory over the struggling Sacramento Kings for their third-straight win on Wednesday, January 28 (PH time).

Mikal Bridges added 18, while Karl-Anthony Towns posted a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double, anchoring a Knicks squad that handed Sacramento its sixth consecutive defeat.

The Kings briefly threatened after Precious Achiuwa’s slam cut the lead to 82-78, but the Knicks responded with a 17-7 run, punctuated by an OG Anunoby dunk that stretched the margin to 99-85 with just two minutes left.

The win boosts New York to 28-18, leapfrogging the Toronto Raptors (29-18) for the third seed in the Eastern Conference.

Both teams are set for a showdown next, with the Knicks gunning for a fourth straight win while Toronto eyes a fifth consecutive victory.

Meanwhile, DeMar DeRozan’s 34-point outing went to waste as the Kings fell to 12-36.

Russell Westbrook added 14 points, but Sacramento was outscored 31-15 in the fourth quarter and will look to snap their skid on the road against the Philadelphia 76ers (24-21).
