The Golden Spikers aim for consecutive victories in the UAAP Season 88 men’s volleyball tournament when they tackle the Ateneo Blue Eagles on Wednesday, February 25, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

UST bounced back from a season-opening loss to NU by dispatching La Salle, 25-23, 25-22, 15-25, 25-19, to enter the win column.

Two-time MVP Josh Ybañez once again led the charge, unloading 20 attacks while anchoring the floor defense with 11 excellent receptions.
Team captain Dux Yambao orchestrated the offense with 15 excellent sets and chipped in three points, guiding UST into a three-way tie for third place with Ateneo and UP at 1-1.
Another win would not only give the Golden Spikers their first winning streak of Season 88 but also put them alone in third place in the team standings.
